Alien

Ceramic instalation in Black Oak  (Trigobolobalanus excelsa)
Pacho, Cundinamarca-Colombia 2017

I call this piece Alien because it emerged out of me in an almost sci-fi process. Using Luffa fruit as the main structure, I sculpted this piece and was quite shocked by its shape.  At first, it seemed quite disruptive and out of place in my small studio. After a while, I realized that it belongs in the air. Hanging in a magnificent black Oak, the Alien can be; it has space and vibrates with all the life surrounding it.
