About A Future Justice

Clay is fermented organic matter. It is memory and has memory. Its molecules are like the pages of a book. Working with it is a constant creative dialogue with ancestry and territory. It is a small-scale replica of earthly geological transformation.

I like to think of clay as a non-human educator. It has a vast healing potential to be used as material for emotional care. Whit its millenary patience allows us, humans, to digest and share and exteriorize feelings and ideas without the need to use words.

These images are parts of projects that research the times and qualities of construction and destruction and their relation to care.

Society often relates caring practices with calm and pleasure, but not every emotional state can be processed through calm.
